The status of student is given to those candidates selected by any UNAM admission procedure that concluded enrollment formalities. The status remains effective as long as they are enrolled in any of the educational stages: middle school, high school, university or postgraduate, and in any faculty, school, facility or institute of the university. Those in the process of receiving a university title degree are still considered students, as long as they fulfill the requirements stated in the University Legislation for such purpose.
