The main legal instruments that regulate us are:
- The Office of the Ombudsman for Academic Rights’ Statute
- The Office of the Ombudsman for Academic Rights’ Rules of Procedure
These instruments are complemented with the “General Guidelines for Gender Equality in UNAM” and the “Agreement on Institutional Policies established for the Prevention, Attention, Sanction and Elimination of Gender Violence Cases in UNAM”.
The Statute determines the object, organization, attributions, jurisdiction and procedures to be followed when a claim, complaint or report is filed. The Rules of Procedure are an operative instrument which details what is contained in the Statute.
